- This hunt was an incredible experience. I have never seen so many elk inone place before. My only regret is that I didn’t have a bull tag. It is OK though because I harvested my first cow elk. Nate Albers Rifle 2006 - First elk hunt in Colorado and had an excellent time. Snow and 0 degrees were a surprise but I got a cow that day which made the effort. We gave that illusive 6×6 a fun for his money – maybe next year. Thanks for the 10 mile pursuit the last day and pushing so hard each day. Glad to see our adventures didn’t kill you!
